
17 individuals lacking in Indonesia fishing accident
Indonesia – Divers had been scouring the waters of the Java Sea on Sunday for 17 fishermen reported lacking after their boat capsized following a crash involving a bulk service, a spokesman for Indonesia’s search and rescue company mentioned.
The fishing boat with 32 aboard capsized after hitting the Indonesian bulk service MV Habco Pioneer late Saturday off Indramayu district, mentioned the top of the Search and Rescue Company, Deden Ridwansyah.
The incident occurred within the early hours of Sunday. Indonesian authorities have deployed search and rescue groups to search for the lacking individuals. To this point, emergency responders have rescued 15 individuals.
The Habco Pioneer cargo vessel was crusing by means of the port of Merak from the Indonesian island of Borneo when it was hit by an area fishing boat in Indramayu waters, mentioned officers.
