In his suicide notice, Singh referred to as upon farmers to return house solely after the three farm legal guidelines are repealed, and the Minimal Help Value (MSP) is assured. He additionally demanded the federal authorities to meet his final want and repeal the legal guidelines.

Harinder Singh, a member of SKM, claimed that thus far 274 farmers have died since 26 November for numerous causes.

The incident occurred a day after farmers marked 100 days of ongoing protests on Delhi’s borders. 

The protesting agricultural employees are demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi roll again three new legal guidelines: the Farmers (Empowerment and Safety) Settlement of Value Assurance and Farm Companies Act, 2020, Farmers Produce Commerce and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, and the Important Commodities (Modification) Act, 2020. 

They’ve accused the federal government of abandoning its minimal worth assist (MSP) scheme, which protects farmers’ incomes and leaving them on the mercy of massive companies.
