Europe reacts as Trump supporters wage chaos in US capital – POLITICO

European politicians expressed concern over “extremely disturbing” scenes as supporters of Donald Trump stormed the Capitol constructing and clashed with police in Washington amid a push to overturn the U.S. president’s electoral defeat.

Earlier Wednesday, Trump inspired his supporters at a rally outdoors the White Home to march on the Capitol. He advised them that “you’ll by no means take again our nation with weak point,” and that “it’s a must to present energy.”

Biden gave a televised speech from Delaware, urging Trump to handle the nation and “demand an finish to this siege.”

“It’s not protest, it’s revolt. The world is watching,” Biden added.

After Biden’s speech, Trump advised individuals to “go residence and go residence in peace,” in a video posted on Twitter. He continued to restate baseless claims that the election was “stolen,” however mentioned “We will’t play into the fingers of those individuals.”
