Fifth batch of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine arriving in Kuwait

The fifth cargo of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is to reach in Kuwait on Sunday, native media reported.

To date, Kuwait has obtained round 550,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, 150,000 within the first cargo and 100,000 in each different cargo following, a supply instructed Al Jarida.

The Pfizer vaccine is being prioritized for these above the age of 65 and between the ages of 16-17, as solely these above the age of 18 can obtain the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.

Kuwait has obtained one cargo of the Oxford vaccine, which contained round 200,000 doses. A second cargo is anticipated to reach throughout the first week of March with round 400,000 doses.
