Gauteng welcomes 225 New Year’s Day babies

Elsewhere within the nation, KwaZulu-Natal recorded 47 New 12 months’s Day infants, with 22 boys and 25 ladies born.

South Africa’s most populous province has a number of new additions on New 12 months’s Day, after the Gauteng well being division revealed that 225 infants have been born (between 12am and 12pm) within the province’s hospitals and group healthcare centres.

Of the 225 infants born, 121 have been boys and 104 have been ladies. Nearly all of the births occurred at Tembisa Hospital, with 22 births recorded.

Whereas Chris Hani Baragwanath Tutorial Hospital’s trauma unit was fully empty for the primary time on New 12 months’s Day, its maternity ward recorded 15 births.
